We use the simulation mode in qtVlm to find the course to steer (CTS) in the presence of strong but unknown current. To do this, we watch the heading line (HL) in direction course through the water (CTW) compared to the course over ground (COG) prediction line.
The answer we come up with was the one we computed in another video, in which we did knew what the current was. See: https://youtu.be/o9lTrX24LMc
We have earlier demonstrated the value of watching the HL and COG predictor line in the famous grounding of the Ever Given in the Suez Canal. See: https://youtu.be/kQzomgjdtI0
