A RARE skeletal disorder has transformed a man’s hands into giant claws. Harun Gatari, 23, from Kenya, was diagnosed with Ollier disease, which causes non-cancerous growths of cartilage to develop within the bones - leading to skeletal deformities and malformed limbs. Harun has been shunned by many people in his community, who believe his colossal hands are the result of witchcraft. His condition left him unable to work - leaving him homeless until he met soup seller Evans, who took him in and now helps him with his daily tasks. Despite a number of previous surgeries, Harun’s condition has always resurfaced and he is now raising funds to get proper medical treatment to enable him to use his hands properly once more. But despite the adversity Harun has faced, he refuses to give up - and dreams of one day becoming a journalist or motivational speaker.
