I took a three-day vacation to Melrose, Florida to do some freshwater metal detecting with my Equinox 800. I was doing pretty good at Melrose Bay Park finding one coin after another. The next three locations after this were old swimming holes and I'm sure had been untouched and the probability was great for a ring. The sad thing is, after the first spot, my Nox leaked and that was it for the hunt. What a disappointment it was. The lesson I learned was I should have brought a backup detector. Minelab did repair the Nox and I'm back to swinging but I was out of action for 4 1/2 weeks.
