Friends of Friends: Inside the whimsical world of Manuel Wroblewski and Johanna Dumet’s studio

Join us as we visit the “utopian world” of Johanna Dumet and Manuel Wroblewski.

We spent a sunny morning with the artist couple at their Berlin studio, which is as vibrant and joyful as a playground, and described by the pair as an “installation”. Johanna, a French painter, and Manuel, a German sculptor, have been working as full-time artists for three years, and approach their art with a sense of fun and spontaneity. Inside the studio, we learned more about how they found and secured the space, the importance of creativity without restrictions, and how spaces for artists need to improve.

This profile was produced in collaboration with our friends at La Marzocco, the Italian coffee machine company. Taking our shared appreciation of life’s small pleasures as a starting point, we sought to explore coffee’s place in the lives of artists and creatives.
