NASA’s Perseverance rover used one of its navigation cameras to capture dust devils in the Jezero Crater, on 20 July 2021. The three images were taken about 15 seconds apart and have been enhanced in order to show maximal detail, with some color distortion. On 18 June 2021, images from a navigation camera show a dust cloud estimated to be about 4 square kilometres (1.5 square miles) in size, the first wind-lifted dust cloud of this scale ever captured in images on Mars.
