Hey Subbies!
Did you know that you could be eating your way to beautiful, long, and gorgeous hair!?!
Beauty and of course hair health starts from inside the body. You want to give your hair the best environment to grow. The food we eat is so important to how successful we are at growing and maintaining our curly strands. We all know that fast food, processed food, and sugary drinks have taken our health in a “not so good” direction. However, we can still be mindful of making good decisions when it comes to our food. I found 7 awesome whole foods that can help us keep our internal body’s environment healthy for beautiful thick hair. Sweet potatoes (I love sweet potato fries) are full of vitamin A which has been found to support not only healthy hair but healthy skin too! Avocados are the next foods that you should add to your beauty routine. Avocados not only have healthy fats for your hormones and reproductive system but also have vitamin E which aids in healthy hair growth and glowing skin. Berries are next up, and berries encompass a large group of amazing fruits! I favor blueberries myself for their anti-aging effects. Berries are packed with those antioxidants we need to fight off free radicals that are roaming around our body causing structural and functional damage. Nuts are one of my favorite foods because they are so incredibly delicious! Nuts have healthy fats, protein, and minerals like zinc that can help keep our bodies beautiful and healthy. Greens have a ton of vitamins and minerals however a standout that dark leafy greens have is vitamin K. Vitamin K is one of those miracle fat-soluble vitamins that help hair stay in a healthy growth phase as well as help the scalp stay healthy due to calcium processing.
And finally eggs and salmon should be on your shopping list for the protein, b vitamins in the eggs, and healthy fats in the salmon!
If we can start being more mindful of what we eat we may see healthy hair as well as other health benefits because of the good nutrients we are providing our bodies. Your hair grows from the inside of your body. That is where everything starts! So see you all in the future subbies and remember to Eat Well!!!
