There is cabinets were they can keep their own dry food supplies too.
There is Showers and Bathrooms.
So, food supplies should be minimal for the lack of storage they may have. Always see if the they have a cold storage for food.
Basics like soaps, cleaning supplies should be provided by the shelter. They could always take donations for these type of items. While people staying there could use more personalized items being toothbrush or paste and socks and clothing specifically cold weather things can be helpful in the winter.
