Former Miss Kerala and runner-up died in a car accident on Monday morning.The deceased were identified as Ansi Kabeer (25), Miss Kerala and runner-up Dr Anjana Shajan (26). Both participated in the beauty pageant held in 2019. The accident took place at Vyttila at 1.00am. The car in which they were travelling lost control and overturned after hitting a bike. Both of them died on the spot. Two in the car and the motorist sustained injuries. Muhammed Ashiq and Abdul Rehman, who were in the car, have been admitted to a private hospital in Ernakulam. The condition of one is said to be critical.
The car which met with the accident was proceeding to Chalakudy from Kochi. It has been completely damaged. Ansi is a native of Attingal in Thiruvananthapuram and Anjana is from Thrissur. Ansi had started her modelling career during college days and is an engineering student. She was the first runner up in Miss Malabar and Lulu Beauty Contest of 2018. Anjana is an Ayurvedic doctor. She was Miss Kerala 2019 first runner even though she had no previous experience in modelling.
