Palaszczuk is 'always blaming somebody else': Crisafulli

Queensland Opposition Leader David Crisafulli says Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk is always blaming someone else when it comes to problems with the handling of the pandemic and the state’s hospital system.

Ms Palaszczuk has said she wants federal funding for Queensland hospitals to be increased to help the system cope with an influx of COVID-19 cases before she considers reopening the state borders.

“There's always a need for a little bit more theatre and the pandemic premier has to step up and people are growing a little tired of it,” Mr Crisafulli told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“And today our premier blamed Canberra, and then she blamed elderly people for using the hospitals, she blamed the media for asking so called hypothetical questions.

“Here’s the question I asked, what the bloody hell have you been doing for the last 18 months if at two minutes to midnight now it’s a crisis and your hospitals aren’t ready?”
