Bradford City 1920 Tramways 1920 "Trackless"solid tyred (later referred to as a trolleybus),

Here is a video of my conversion of a 4mm scale Bradford tramcar kit into a Bradford City Tramways 1920 "Trackless"(trolleybus)fitted with spoked solid tyres. It was nicknamed "Cottage Loaf"by the inward slope of the top deck cover, which represented a loaf of bread shape of the time. When they were being built, the Tramways Committee said as many parts of their trams had to be used in their construction.I have made additional parts out of 3mm plywood, brass sheet for mudguards, also made my own front steering mech to run on Faller Car System also the staircase railing are made from 26swg brass wire. The top deck open front did not carry passengers,it was used to carry the electrical resistances. The livery will be mainly white, with Prussian blue first half below the lower deck windows.Apparently there used to be complaints from house holders along the routes, about noise, vibration, of sold tyres running on stone setts, shaking ornaments off shelves and mantle pieces. As well as giving their passengers a good shakeup, similar to todays machine on a gym..
