25-Days of High Adventure in the Northern Manitoba Wilderness - E.2 - Mysterious Voice & Go Up River: Remote river camping, portaging with outfitting in tow, including food bagels and dry bag, my brother Ted Baird - the Baird brothers - ALONE cast of ALONE Season 4 bushwhack and head upriver towards the height-of-land. At camp, after over the fire cooking Walleye we hear a mysterious voice that we can’t explain and head off to solo up rapids after a floatplane drop-off the previous day.

I eat pemmican for lunch and finally find a place to camp when it’s almost dark and a nasty thunderstorm is moving in. That’s when we realize we’re camped on a bear’s trail in a berry patch.
