Hey guys, Victor here with another video on how to learn languages. I focus mostly on Chinese and Korean since these are the languages I'm fluent in but really the system I will give you can be applied for learning literally ANY language.
Another great thing about this system is it doesn't require any special skills or a lot of financial investments to learn languages. As many of you know, I'm just an ordinary guy from an ordinary family in a small Russian town. Yet I was able to master 3 foreign languages and I'm close to mastering my 4th one. If I did it, anyone can do it.
So, how exactly did I do it?
First, keep in mind that there are 3 levels of language learning.
The first level is where like 90% of people learning foreign languages are stuck. That's apps and video courses. Funny thing is there are a lot of videos from pretty successful youtubers telling you that apps and courses work. Unfortunately, the reason they tell you that is because they get paid for doing it. Take my advice - don't bother with apps and courses, they are a waste of time.
The second level of language learning is taking traditional courses. I took quite a few of those myself both in China and Korea over the years of living there. And the good news is traditional courses work MUCH better than apps and video courses. They can definitely help you learn a language but it will still take a while. You're looking at something like 1-2 years to get to a conversational level and 5 or more years to become fluent.
The third and the most effective level of language learning is language coaching. The difference between coaching and traditional courses is that with coaching you basically get two "teachers", so to speak: an actual teacher (preferably a native speaker) and a coach. The coach is a person who speaks SEVERAL languages (that's very important!) and who has a system and experience of learning and teaching DIFFERENT languages, as well as deep insight into how the human mind works, especially the subconscious mind.
The language coaching system literally cuts YEARS from the language learning process. Usually, people taking a coaching program get conversational in the language of their choice in a bout 3 months and become fluent in about 1 year. That's incredibly amazing, isn't it?
