Liverpool are planning a surprise bid for Bayern Munich centre-forward Robert Lewandowski, according to reports.
Jurgen Klopp is believed to be keen on a reunion with the Poland international.
The duo spent four seasons together at Borussia Dortmund and their form earned Robert a move to Bayern Munich and Jurgen the Liverpool gig.
And now the German is desperate to work with the 33-year-old attacker again, according to Fichajes.
Two of their main Premier League title rivals Chelsea and Manchester United made marquee striker signings this summer with Romelu Lukaku and Cristiano Ronaldo coming back to England.
And although it did not get over the line, Manchester City tried to get Harry Kane and are being strongly linked with another move for the Spurs star or Erling Haaland.
As a result, the pressure seems to be on Liverpool to make a similar move and Robert is said to fit their bill.
He was linked with a move to the PL this summer after it was claimed he wanted a new challenge.
