Russian presidential envoy for Afghanistan, director of the Second Department of Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zamir Kabulov, on Monday from Moscow named those countries whose influence he believes can contribute to the stabilisation of the political situation in Afghanistan following the Taliban's seizure of power.
"It is always Russia, always the United States, China, Pakistan and Iran that are the key powers for Afghan regulation. This format remains in demand so that the new government in Afghanistan behaves acceptably from the point of view of generally accepted norms," Kabulov said.
"It is very important that the most influential powers, including those mentioned earlier, exert influence on them, so that they take into account this factor, which is called the international community," he added.
