Engine and Performance
A 3.8-litre naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine is provided with the Hyundai Palisade abroad. This engine produces Maximum power output of 291hp and a Peak torque of 355Nm. The car has an all-wheel-drive system with an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard. The BS6 norms and future emission norms may prevent the company to bring the same engine, but Hyundai will surely come up with something similar for India.
The exteriors of the car are designed keeping Hyundai’s Sensuous Sportiness design in mind. A large cascading front grille is present along with split LED headlamps and DRLs. The car is equipped with 20-inch wheels which still look a bit small for its body size. The overall look of the car is boxy with SUV elements added. Vertically stacked LED taillights are present at the rear. Rear skid plate and dual-tip exhaust are noteworthy features in the rear of the car.
Hyundai Palisade has a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, fully digital instrument cluster, BlueLink connected technology, Harman premium audio system, powered tailgate and many more as interior features. Interiors look comfortable and premium. In the US the Hyundai Palisade is available with either a 7/8-seat configuration. Safety features have also not been skipped with the like of airbags, ABS with EBD, Hyundai Drive-Assist Level 2 Autonomy, blind view monitor and adaptive cruise control system. Hyundai may launch the Palisade with a slightly smaller engine between Rs.30 to Rs.35 lakh. It will rival against the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Skoda Kodiaq, Mahindra Alturas G4 and Volkswagen Tiguan All space. The launch date has still not been officially confirmed but Hyundai has hinted towards the launch of the car.
