Holidaymakers harass a terrified pregnant seal in Norfolk - forcing it to flee | SWNS

This is the moment a holidaymaker harassed a group of terrified seals before forcing a pup to leave its mother and flee into the sea.

The man - believed to be in his early 20s - can be seen crouching "within a metre" of the frightened Atlantic Grey seals on the beach.

He even appears to try and touch one of the baby seals - forcing it to run into the sea - despite warnings to stay at least 10 metres away from them.

Hundreds of the seals at Horsey Gap, Norfolk, are currently pregnant and one expert warned the man's behaviour could have forced an aborted birth.

Haylea (corr) Allison, 36, spotted the group of three men, two women and a toddler - thought to be tourists - pushing each other over within metres of the seals.

She said: "I thought 'someone's going to get hurt'. They were about one metre away - it's recommended to be 10 metres away.
