Enormous machines transforming construction

Today, when it comes to construction, there is no shortage of enormous machines to perform a variety of tasks.

You have diggers, excavators, backhoes, skid steers, crawler cranes, haul trucks, rope shovels, mining excavators, and more. All of these machines perform different jobs that are essential for the construction process. In this video, we take a look at some of our favorite gigantic construction machines.

There’s the Gagger 288 Bucket Wheel Excavator which is one of the biggest land vehicles on the planet. It's used to dig open-pit mines and moves 8.5 million cubic feet of dirt per day. The Marti Group Tunnel Boring Machine has a cutter head diameter of 46 ft (14 m). The machine bored a 2 mile-long (3.2-km) tunnel.

The Komatsu Blasthole Drill has a bit loading capacity of 38 tons (34 tonnes). It can dig up to 55 ft (17 m) deep at once. The Sepsa Bridge Construction Machine can support beams up to 195 ft (60 m) in length and 130 tons (118 tonnes) in weight. The BelAZ Dump Truck is the world's biggest dump truck. It can move 450 tons (408 tonnes) in one go.

All of these machines are as impressive as they are massive. Together, they make awesome construction projects possible that you could not even imagine in your wildest dreams a few years ago.

Yes, indeed the construction industry is moving forward at a fast pace and these machines are proof.
